Maestro Rubalcaba is a master pianist who worked in the world of Cuban boleros and danzones and cha chas, becoming a leading figure in the famous Buena Vista Social Club and one of Cuba's musical treasures. Luiz Frank Arias, fascinated with traditional romantic Cuban song since his schooldays, sang with the groups Sierra Maestra and the Afro-Cuban Allstars and is recognised as one of the top tier vocalists in his country.

Both men got together to present a song festival using only piano and vocals and it was an overwhelming success prompting them to record this superb album. Recording songs Luis Frank rescued from oblivion, the pair have come up with a divine sound - Rubalcaba's note perfect acoustic piano laying down a beautiful foundation for Luis Frank's angelic vocals. Together they produce moving music that will touch people's hearts in the cafes and ballrooms of Cuba and the rest of the world.

This music just sparkles and glistens, moving seamlessly from one magical track to another, making one of those fabulous world music albums that you'll still be enjoying in ten years and beyond.
